The Sound of White

The Sound of White by Carol Lynne is the eighth book in the Cattle Valley series.

Chad, as the lodge manager, is under the gun to get everything ready for the New Years Eve party, but things just aren’t working as planned. Chad isn’t from Cattle Valley and doesn’t know how quickly the weather can change, especially in the mountains of Wyoming. It doesn’t help that Richard, one of the men working on the project, gives him a permanent hard-on whenever he is in the room. Richard can’t believe that he is interested in someone who doesn’t have a lick of sense to know when to listen to advice.

Collin, a local electrician, has always felt he was nothing but average and no one would ever look twice at him. When a strange and mysterious situation at the lodge occurs, Richard and Chad are thrown together as they work to uncover the mystery. On the other hand, Collin is sent out in a storm that turns deadly and that sends him to the one man he always wanted to get to know better in the biblical sense: Abe. Could a snow storm and seclusion give them time to get to know the one person who just might be the one they have been looking for all of their lives?

Ms. Lynne has created a story that is an action-packed mystery that fulfills everyone’s desire for holiday spirit with a little bit of heat thrown in. Chad has given up on finding the one special person for him; however, Richard has made him see that all things are possible when you are willing to look at the world beyond your own sphere. There is much more than just the silence of white a glorious world filled with colors and sound. Collin believes that he will never find his man, until fate steps in to give both him and Abe the Christmas wish that they were both afraid to wish for. Thanks go to Ms. Lynne for this incredible Christmas addition to the Cattle Valley series.
