Fair Winds
Rudy Haas loves sailing more than anything else in life. When the Port Huron race comes along he pays his way onto a sailboat, even though he doesn’t really get along with the owner and the fee itself is pretty high. When he gets on board Rudy is told his place is taken. So now, he must find another boat or forfeit his spot in the race. He finds what he’s looking for in Devlin’s Due. He also finds more than he bargained for in the sailboat’s captain.

You can’t go wrong with Fair Winds! Rudy Haas completely makes this story great. Even though Ike is the alpha-male type, with tall, dark, and silent down pat, Rudy still steals the show with his gentle nature and gritty drive to succeed at any cost. When Rudy and the crew of Devlin’s Due start to show growth in their relationship is when the true story begins. The romance of the story kind of surprised me, in that, Chrissy Munder leaves that part of the story open for interpretation through-out most of the story, although I still cheered for Rudy all the way. I’m not sure what life on a sailboat is like but Chrissy Munder certainly makes it seem like real-life stuff to me. Well worth the read!
