Fire Season
Holden Antaeus is a black dragon, and he isn't looking for a mate. He is busy with family, work, and most especially, women. Everything changes when his brother, Sean, hires a new employee who turns out to be Holden's mate. There is just one problem, his mate turns out to be Garret, a green dragon who is definitely a man. Holden is sure he is straight, but he soon learns that gender means nothing when it comes to your perfect match.

Fire Season is the third book in Lex Valentine's Tales of the Darkworld series. It's the first one I've read, and I enjoyed it even without having read any of the others. Holden and Garret are both great characters. I was pulled into their relationship, and I wanted them to make it work. Holden has a hard time coming to terms with his mate being male, and watching him struggle through it made me feel for him. The same goes for Garret, who has no problem at all being with Holden. Fire Season is a fun story with steamy love scenes, dragon's romping around the forest, and an entertaining secondary cast of characters. I look forward to reading more from this series.
