You Can Leave Your Hat On
Harlan Sheppard found his dream man when he met Professor Sawyer Addison. Working as his TA allowed him to gain access to Sawyer, but a deeper relationship was off limits. Harlan is hanging up his hat as not only the TA but as an exotic dancer. He hopes to entice Sawyer to stop seeing him as a student and view him as a man through hooded eyes. Unfortunately, Sawyer doesn't plan to bite.
Sawyer loves his job and respects his students enough to keep sex out of their relationship with him. While staying away from Harlan is difficult, Sawyer knows it's for the best. However, Harlan plans to have his man, and is persistent. Each man has a lesson to teach and a lesson to learn, and with the right bait, Harlan may hook his man before it is all said and done.
Lena Matthews' You Can Leave Your Hat On is a well written story filled with wonderful characters, funny one-liners, and some detailed dancing that had me throwing dollars at my screen. The character's were flawed just enough to make them appear as average everyday people who deserved love. There was no escaping this story after Harlan's tenacity and Sawyer's ability to throw caution took over. And, while I enjoyed them both, I fell in love with Sawyer's best friend Macon. He's the type of friend you want around to pick you up when you fall, and teach you how to party when it's time to celebrate. The story had a nice even cadence from beginning to end, and was well worth the read. Fans and newcomers to Lena Matthews' books are in for a treat.
