All Samantha Fine wants is revenge on the pirate who murdered her family. To do so she has become Sam Steele, feared pirate captain, who no one knows is a woman. She realizes she will need the help of fellow pirate, Luke Bradley, and makes him an offer he can't refuse. Samantha is determined not to fall for a pirate, and Luke has no intentions of feeling anything towards anyone. However, neither of them can ignore what is soon burning between them.

What a Pirate Desires by Michelle Beattie is a great pirate adventure that I could not put down. Luke is one of the best heroes I have read about in a long time. He is everything you want from a dashing, sexy pirate. It was also nice to see a strong female lead. She wasn't scared to do what she had to do, but she wasn't so cold that it didn't affect her either. She has had a tough life, but it has only made her stronger. She is someone I admired, and she was the perfect woman for Luke. I was sad to turn the last page and I was not ready to leave Luke and Samantha behind. This story has action, adventure, and best of all, a great romance. I love a great pirate story and I am very pleased I got the chance to read What a Pirate Desires. I look forward to what will come next from Michelle Beattie.
