Halle Pumas 4: Steel Beauty
Belinda "Belle" Campbell has been having a rough time in the Halle Puma pack; she made the mistake of befriending the wrong puma and has been shunned for her friend's actions by many of the pack. Even now that Belinda has proved her loyalty and has risked her own life to save another member, many still don't want her around. She'd love to leave. She had found her mate, and he is not only from another pack but a wolf. But with Belle's leg broken and healing with the aid of a steal rod, she cannot shift and cannot take her rightful position as Rick's Luna. And at least one female in Rick Lowell's pack intends to ensure that Belle will never take the place of the Luna. Will Rick have to choose between the good of the pack and his mate? Is Belle just trading one group that hates her for another?
Steel Beauty is the fourth book in the Halle Pumas series. I highly recommend you read all four books in order. The stories are building upon things that happened in the earlier books and would be best read in sequential order. Belle has not been a real popular lady in the first three books, but I was glad to see her get her own book and the chance for a change. I didn't think I was going to like Rick, but he surprised me. He is not just a super macho man, he has a sweet side too. I also wasn't too sure about a puma and an alpha wolf as mates? Of course, Ms. Bell has it all figured out. If you have been following the other books in this series, you will not want to miss this one even if you may think that Ms. Bell can't sell you on working out a mating between a wolf and a puma! By now you should know not to underestimate Ms. Bell's imagination! If you have not read any of this series, but you love shifter stories then I suggest you find a copy of the first three books before joining in with the fun in this tale.
