Because of You
The past few months have been a nightmare for Jessie Warner and as a result she's spent a lot of time hiding out in her own home. Following the death of her husband, she's been mugged and now she's being plagued by prank calls. Taking a short vacation, to visit her best friend, she reluctantly agrees to tag along to a party. There she meets Caleb James. Conversation and laughs ensue and the easy camaraderie between the two allows Jessie to briefly feel "normal" again and they enjoy their night together. Returning home, Jessie soon discovers the nightmare isn't over; in fact it's escalating. Before too long she needs Caleb's help and she's determined to uncover who's targeting her. Caleb realises Jessie's still grieving and he's determined to keep her safe and to inspire her to grasp the chance to fall in love again.

Because Of You is a compelling contemporary romantic suspense. Jessie will ensnare you; she's a strong character, who's suffered such tragedy, yet she's determined to uncover the truth behind her husband's death and the reader can't help but admire her for it. I was cheering for her each step of the way, hoping she'd find the answers she sought as well as the closure she needs. Caleb and Jessie are well-matched, he quickly becomes her rock, and I know you too will thoroughly enjoy reading their story. One word of advice: you may like to keep a hankie or tissues handy.
