It's the Fourth of July and Deke is having trouble. Fireworks are a bane to his existence. Their noise and brightness bring out the canine in the werewolf shifter. While he may not know how to overcome this quandary, his lover Kasey has a few ideas that are sure to distract his handsome lover. Can Kasey remind Deke of the fireworks he sets off when they make love? Will that be enough to get his lover through the holiday?

Julia Talbot brings us passion and BDSM in Fireworks. Deke and Kasey are on my favorite characters list. Alpha shifter Deke knows fireworks are his Achilles' heel and makes no apologies for it. Kasey is his handsome vampire lover willing to do anything to relieve Deke's distress. You could see the love they share, and Kasey's sincere desire to help his lover refocus his energies. This sexually charged couple's interaction is smooth and effortless, and their fervor adds a touch of humor. The setting for this fast-paced story is perfect and I don't think I'll attend another fireworks event without thinking about this story. Ms. Talbot knows how to keep the tension flowing, delivering yet another well-written story! New comers and those who've enjoyed Deke and Kasey's past stories don't want to miss this steamy installment.
