Love Me Knots
In Ms. Tenorio's latest story, we meet estranged heiress Krista James as she walks in on what she believes is her fiancé, David Ellison, having sex with his young secretary in his office chair. In disgust, she cancels their honeymoon reservations to Tahiti, changing them to a luxury trip for one. Of course it was not David she heard in his office, as he makes clear to her in a most physical way. Unfortunately for him, Krista had already made her mind up to call it quits, due to his inability to verbalize any emotion whatsoever, most specifically love for her. David is devastated by her leaving, and follows her to Tahiti to convince her to come home, unable to understand the problem. Will he be able to overcome a lifetime of repressed emotions? Will Krista be able to stand up to her overbearing father who shows up on their doorstep, demanding that she return to the privileged life she has turned her back on? And what about the show-stopping announcement she makes to David in the heat of their argument?

In Love Me Knots Dee Tenorio has again crafted a wonderful book, combining humor, realistic emotion, and enough sexual heat to start a bonfire. David may grapple with the basics in saying the three little words every woman loves to hear, but he sure comes through with the "show don't tell" concept! Krista's reservations are understandable although her motivations become clearer as the story progresses. As usual, Ms. Tenorio has filled in all the spaces with fascinating secondary characters who take on lives of their own, from David's wise-cracking secretary and her boyfriend, to the four charming, unabashedly gay underwear models in the cottage next door, and even Krista's crusty father. It seems that this author can never be bothered with cardboard personalities, and Love Me Knots is another perfect example of this. In a relatively short story she produces a fully developed hero and heroine with a supporting cast who are bound to capture and hold the reader's attention. Five Angels plus Recommended Read.
