Heart of the Maze
When Cilia Makepeace touches people, she sees visions. She sees their pasts, their presents, or their futures. As she has no control over this gift, she avoids touching people. Her aunt, wary of her gift, accuses her of stealing and sells her to a brothel. When the first man approaches her, Cilia hits him over the head with a chamber pot. She then runs to Devlin Easterly, Third Duke of Rutherford, for help.

The Easterly's are no strangers to the paranormal. They are all born with special gifts. They also know their destined spouses immediately. Devlin has empathic abilities and when he meets Cilia, he knows she is the love of his life. His joy is short lived. Someone is stalking Cilia and Devlin is determined to keep her safe.

Heart of the Maze is an interesting paranormal set in the world of Regency England. Both Devlin and Cilia are unusual characters, too unusual for thirty nine pages to do them justice. As the couple is destined to love, the courtship moves along at a quick pace. The plot is complicated with twists and turns summed up in single sentences. Heart of the Maze is a story readers will wish was longer.
