Love For Christmas
Ellie Quentin thought she and Nick had a wonderful marriage until Monique stepped into the picture. No matter where Ellie turned; Monique was there in some shape or form. When it finally put a strain on their marriage, Ellie couldn't take it any longer. Still, after her divorce from Nick, no matter how she tries to find happiness, she only feels miserable inside. Nick tried to express that Monique was only his secretary research partner, nothing more. Yet she was the one who broke up his marriage to Ellie, his beautiful Ellie, a woman he has not forgotten. Two years later, she still remains in his heart. If only Monique had not come between them, they would be together. Seven years of marriage down the tube all because of a stupid misunderstanding. Nick would like to reverse the situation and marry Ellie again, especially after seeing her at the resort where he is staying. He is surprised she is at the expensive resort since she has refused any alimony or financial help from him. All that aside, they decide to slowly share some time together which leads to getter better acquainted. Memories flood into their mind of a lifetime they once shared together. When Nick confesses Monique is no longer his researcher, and he has a man helping in his research now, will Ellie put her faith in the man that still remains in her heart and give him a second chance?

I enjoyed reading the story of Ellie, and Nick, and their second time together. As their relationship blooms, the reader can see little sparks, and a deepening love begin to rise through with the story. Their genuine happiness beams across the pages. This reader could see the heartache that they both endured when they see each other again. I felt it was an eye-opening experience that only pulled them closer into each others heart. Kate Hofman pens a lovely tale of finding love, losing love, then discovering even more beautiful love the second time around, especially when it is with the same person again. Love For Christmas is an uplifting story that gives one reason to continue on in life even when things seem at the worst in life. The secondary characters are refreshing and robust in this romance that is enlightening and passionate, and I found thoroughly enchanting.
