Unforgiven
Cutter Standifer cannot forgive his ex-girlfriend (emphasis on 'ex') Katie Grissom for her infidelity with town bad boy, Justin Cruz. Of course, this is compounded by the fact that Justin is marrying Cutter's baby sister- in a three-way marriage! When Cutter catches Katie at the ceremony uninvited, he is furious and takes his frustration out on her in a pretty brutal way. Katie, who harbored hopes of reconciliation, is first crushed, and then surprised when Cutter re-thinks his behavior and offers her an arrangement, a purely sexual one, designed to get each other out of their systems.

Katie takes him upon his offer, knowing all along that she still has feelings for him which she hopes will be reciprocated. However, Cutter remains emotionally closed to her until events come to pass that bring the whole deal to a head, and then when Justin shows up again, Cutter can no longer deny his need for Katie in his life.

Although Delilah Devlin's Unforgiven can easily be read as a stand-alone story reading the prequel, Unbridled, adds quite a bit of depth to the plot and characters. We more easily understand Justin's use of Katie to get back at Cutter for being so over-protective of his sister, and how that one night stand creates the problems between the two of them. .

In this hot Texan romp, Delilah Devlin gives a sneak peek into the head of a sexy cowboy whose old fashioned values conflict with his unrelenting desire for a woman who he feels has not lived up to his ideals. We also see a woman who is willing to bend her code for a man who does not necessarily have a big enough heart to deserve her love. Watching the two try to find a middle ground is what makes Unforgiven such an entertaining read. Five Angels
