Kevin has been going to the Smoky Mountains twice a year for the past four years. He is always in a relationship, or so it seems to Ben, owner of the cabin where Kevin stays. Finally Kevin is unattached having broken up with this boyfriend the day before. Over the years Ben and Kevin have gotten to know each other pretty well and Ben's feelings only grow for the other man. When Ben sees his chance to be with Kevin he takes it but does Kevin feel the same way?

One thing that Mel Spenser does well is tell a good tale and Up in the Smokies is no exception! Apparently things happen quickly in the Smokies because both men certainly do waste time-although, I can understand Ben's point-of-view. I also would have liked a little more setting, like the hiking scene however, the glimpse I did get was fabulous. Also, I found Kevin and Ben's steamy attraction and subsequent romance absolutely wonderful to read about. Who doesn't like a good romance? Ben's longtime attraction is heartwarming. And Kevin's awakening makes Up in the Smokies well-worth the read! As always, Mel Spenser continues to be one of my favorite authors!
