One Night with You
Mrs. Grayson is back and this time her matchmaking skills are focusing on Duncan McBride. Duncan has found a cave with writings on his ranch, and he asked Mrs. Grayson to send someone from the college to look over the cave writings quietly without letting the media know. Mrs. Grayson has the perfect person in mind. Raven La Blanc has been working to get her tenure at the college and she knows if she can figure out what the drawings are about then this could land her the job she's always wanted with the stability that goes with it. What she doesn't expect is Duncan's objections every time she turns around. Also the attraction she feels for him is overwhelming, but she doesn't know if his feelings are the same.
Duncan isn't used to having a female on his land, and he can tell just by the way Raven looks she is trouble for him. His first wife hated everything about the ranch and what it took to run it. She just wanted his money and other men. Raven seems to enjoy the ranch and everything about the beauty of it, but Duncan is reluctant to put his heart out there even though he's fighting the attraction and losing. When Raven's time is up at the ranch and it is time for her to go back, what will Duncan do without the woman who turned his house into a home?
Fans of Francis Ray know that when Mrs. Grayson gets it set in her head that you are the next to be married, you really have no chance to fight it. I have loved this series and all the hot sexy men that Mrs. Ray has brought us. The females are all strong willed and will not let any man walk over them. Raven and Duncan are no exceptions. They burn up the pages with their chemistry pouring out. Raven was determined and used every avenue she could to work at the caves even when Duncan feared the cougars might harm her. I loved that Duncan's ranch hand Rooster couldn't really cook good food, and that Raven used her whiles to win him over while breaking out her crockpot to make sure they had good meals at night. I am a huge crockpot fan and loved Mrs. Ray's genius at using this cooking method. If you haven't read one of the Grayson Friends Novels you don't know what you are missing. Hot men, strong women and a host of characters that we get to revisit time and time again.
