With a successful career as a photographer and a hot, wealthy boyfriend, Nola Grainger is happy with the life she has built in Chicago. But word reaches her that her Grandmother has died leaving everything to Nola if she can meet the requirements of the will or the estate will be given away to an unspecified person if she can't. When Lola can't live with the thought of her family's estate in the hands of a stranger, she breaks it off with her boyfriend Marc and heads to Resnick, Georgia with the thought of finding her high school sweetheart Billy at the forefront of her mind. Her Grandmother's will states that Lola must live full time in Resnick for at least six months and be married, so Lola thinks that Billy would be the best candidate for a husband.

Lola arrives in Resnick to find that her grandmother had hired a hunky handyman named Tanner before she died, and quickly learns that Tanner is more than willing to help her with whatever she needs. Lola soon finds herself with three men who are candidates for marriage along with someone who wants Lola to leave town and is determined to see her gone even if it means in a pine box.

Mating Game by Janice Maynard is an erotic, sexy tale with a suspenseful ending that readers will enjoy. I do have to say that I was a little disappointed in the lack of character development in the men that were in Lola's life.

Lola has no problems with sleeping with three different men during her quest to find a husband and the encounters are hot and spicy. I was eager to learn who was behind the attempts on Nola's life and was satisfied by the man Lola chose as her husband.

Overall I thought that Mating Game was an enjoyable, entertaining tale. 3 Angels!
