Blue Moon
Blue Moon by A. J. Llewellyn is the second book in the Hanalie Moon series.

Gaby Lee is a champion surfer who has had a strange and wondrous situation happen to him. One Christmas he wiped out while surfing, but when he was about to die, he was some how transported twelve years into the future. After great difficulty he got his life back and is living with the man of his dreams Pono. Gaby told Pono all about what happened to him, and Pono believes him, as crazy as it sounds. Gaby's friends and family were all affected when he disappeared. Gaby and Pono befriend Halia and her son Bane, who is blind. One thing Bane always wanted to do is learn to surf, and Gaby made his wish come true. On Christmas, Bane was given new surfing equipment and a promise that they would go surfing later, but when his mother realized Bane had gone, she sent Gaby out to help him. Once again Gaby found himself in dire straights, but when he managed to get to shore, he realized he was back where he started twelve years back in time. Gaby decides that this could be his chance to change things for the better and once again hold his beloved dog Ginger. He knows that he left things unfinished causing turmoil for everyone he knew back then. If you could go back in time and change the past, would you? Will Gaby find a way to help his loved ones or will he make their lives worst?

Mr. Llewellyn has continued his beautifully written series with this incredible story. The incorporation of ancient Hawaiian culture in modern society adds a mystical flair to the story. The visual descriptions of Hawaii bring the story to life for the reader. I found Gaby's dilemma fascinating as he has to choose whether to change the past or not. The idea of time travel is an old one, but the mystical aspect gives it a new twist. The love between Pone and Gaby is the driving force in his life, and their love is what spurs him on to change things. Their separation only made Gaby more determined to return to his life with Pono. The readers will love what happens to Gaby and how his going back in time could change his and others people's lives. Thanks go to Mr. Llewellyn for another awesome story.
