Need You Tonight
Need You Tonight by Katrina Strauss is the fourth book in the Blue Ruin series.

The story opens with the trial where Blue, his master Derek, and his friend Dusty have to testify against Zachary Smith, an old friend of Blue's and the man that tried to kill Blue and Dusty. Blue is pushed into testifying that Zachary is guilty of all of the Maple Street murders, but he knew that someone else committed some of the murders and that person is still at large. Blue sneaks out of the court building with the help of his friend Cameron while Derek plays decoy. Derek's belief and trust in Blue is justified when he resists the attraction between him and Cameron. They part as friends with Cameron knowing that friendship is all they can ever have.

Derek's need for control stem from his childhood, and Blue is happy to give Derek what he needs because it gives him what he wants. Blue finds out that Derek wants Dusty in the most intimate way, but the only way he is open to a threesome is if Blue seduces Dusty first. Dusty may be blind, but he is too proud to ask for help until there is a fire in his apartment building leaving him homeless. Blue invites Dusty to stay with them, but he doesn't feel right making his move until he finds out that their feelings are mutual. These beautiful boys come together in a poignant and erotic scene that Derek witnesses to his delight. Things appear to be going as Blue plans until the murderer strikes again, and it appears that Dusty and Blue are in his/her sights. Will the mystery get solved before it is too late? What will happen to Dusty, Blue, Derek, and Cameron?

Ms. Strauss has continued her action paced series, and this story is no exception. From the very beginning, I was riveted by the characters and the story line that came alive for me. The unveiling of part of Derek's past allows the reader to understand what drives his beliefs and his unwavering belief in Blue. Blue's father has a mystery that has yet to be revealed and what may have implications in Blue's life. It was beautiful to see the love and trust between Blue and Derek. I loved how feisty and independent Dusty was, and how he refused to let his blindness to rule his life. I hope that this isn't the end to Blue, Derek, Dusty, and Cameron's stories. Thanks go to Ms. Strauss for another incredible addition to the Blue Ruin series.
