Tamia
Tamia by Esther Mitchell is the first book in the Underground series.

Captain Tamia Kuan can't believe that she is still in the Mobile Armored Tank division when she spent all her time in the Divide war as a ground trooper. It was just after her incredible success that she was promoted to Flight Commander, a position that she never wanted, but excelled in. During a skirmish at Rio Banks, Tamia wound up gravely injured, and the first thing she saw was a Navy Seal with most beautiful cobalt-blue eyes, Rick Carison. Tamia never forgot Rick spending the rest of the war following his activities, and when he left the military, she has always hoped she could join his quasi-military organization, the Commandos. Tamia received a letter informing her that she was on a short list to be recruited into the Commandos. But before she could celebrate her luck, Tamia received a note threatening to expose her youthful indiscretion unless she agreed to expose the activities of the Commandos. Tamia has to battle with her need to keep herself safe and her infatuation for Rick which grows stronger as she spends more time with him. Rick never forgot his first sight of Tamia, an angel in distress, but the military has strict rules for no fraternization within the ranks. Things start to unravel when Rick realizes something isn't quite right with Tamia. Will he follow his instincts or will military training doom their feelings. Matters get even worse when their team is sent on a mission that could endanger their very lives. Will they survive or has their time run out?

Ms. Mitchell has created an action packed, fast paced story that ensnares you from the very start. The reader goes through the gamut of emotions as Tamia's past is revealed before their very eyes. The terror and destruction of war is shown as Tamia and Rick reveal the pasts to each other. It was incredible to watch how each of the commandos show their unique abilities and how they function as a cohesive team. The growing feelings between Tamia and Rick are very erotic and beautiful, but can they withstand the terrors that lie ahead of them? Thanks go to Ms. Mitchell for the beginning of what looks like another awesome series.
