Mating Games by Stormy Glenn and Joyee Flynn is the second book in the Delta Wolf series.

Sebastian and the rest of the newly formed Delta Wolf pack are beginning to settle into their new community. Delta Wolfs are unique in they have three instead of one shape shifting form, one of which blends them into their surroundings making them invisible. They also excrete a powerful pheromone that makes them irresistible to all but their mates, alpha and beta wolfs, so they lived on the outskirts of the pack along until they formed their own pack. Sebastian receives a call to investigate allegations of kidnapping of a human by the Alpha Roderick. Sebastian decides to directly approach the alpha using a false story. Unfortunately Roderick figures it out, and Sebastian awakens in chains with the human captive, Dobry. Sebastian quickly realizes that Dobry is one of his mates. Dobry has been badly abused by Roderick and his betas leaving him unable to trust Sebastian or his immediate feelings. Sebastian wins his trust, but before they can finalize their escape help arrives, a vampire named Alastar. Alastar was sent by his coven to relay a message to the alpha, but he doesn't treat Alastar any better than his own people. After the meeting Alastar notices an enticing small place that leads him to Sebastian and Dobry, the mates he has been looking for all of his life. After losing his father to a vampire attack can Sebastian accept his new mate? Will Sebastian, Dobry, and Alastar survive long enough to explore their feelings for each other?

Ms. Glenn and Ms. Flynn have continued their Delta Wolf series with this fast paced and intriguing story. I love how this book picked up where the first book left off incorporating many of the characters form the first story. The astonishment and joy felt by Sebastian, Dobry, and Alastar when they first met was perfectly tempered with Sebastian and Alastar's love and concern for the abuse Dobry had lived through. It was beautiful to watch Dobry when he placed his trust and love in the hands of his mates. It was wonderful to see Dobry when he first saw Sebastian change into his three forms with acceptance and love. For him to understand Sebastian would never hurt him proved that he had overcome the abuse. I for one can't wait to read the next book in the Delta Wolf series.
