Murder Southern Style

After learning that her mother has been murdered, Terri Valker heads home to Deere Point to bury her and find out what happened. Jacob Hymes approaches Terri at her mother’s home claiming to be a friend of her mother’s. Terri discovers that everything has been neatly cleaned up concerning the crime and there are no clues available to help her find the murderer.

Terri gets tired of getting the run around concerning her mother’s death and does some investigating of her own. Not only does Terri find that she cannot trust the local law, but she also discovers that Jacob has been working undercover for the DEA on a case that involved her mother. They decide to work together to gather as much info as they can to get the answers needed to finish the case. Working so closely together brings them to the point of no return as they give into the yearnings of their hearts and bodies. Jacob must keep his mind on his job and not Terri if he is to solve this case and protect her from the danger that he believes she is in. Is the love between Jacob and Terri strong enough to keep them alive as the evil dealings try to tear them apart?

Jennifer Cloud writes a very compelling story of love and intrigue that will keep you on the edge of your seat with each page that you turn. Murder Southern Style is the first story that I have read by Ms. Cloud, but it will not be the last. The story between Terri and Jacob is both spellbinding and heart wrenching as you read of their search for the truth and justice.
