Night Pleasures

This is the second novel, sort of, of Sherrilyn Kenyon’s Dark Hunters, Dream Hunters, Were Hunters and angry gods. To clarify what I mean, this is the first official Dark-Hunter novel, but you are introduced to the concept of the hero in Fantasy Lover.

Kyrian of Thrace was a pretty-boy prince who foolishly forsook his family, his people, and his inheritance for the love of a woman who did not love him in return. A fearless warrior, cocky-self-assured and proud, the one thing that brought him to his knees was his treacherous wife who sold him out to the Romans. They tortured him, however, that pain was nothing to the betrayal he felt and the sadness in his heart for hurting his family by his actions. In that final moment, his heart cried out with grief and the goddess Diana, or Artemis, came and made Kyrian a deal. He could become one of her Dark-Hunters. In exchange for his soul and for a 24 hour period where he could get revenge on those who wronged him, she would hold his soul and he would become her servant.

Amanda Devereaux comes from an odd family full of mystics and believers. Her twin sister is a vampire slayer, however, Amanda is an accountant. She wants a nice, normal life, with nothing paranormal in it. Little does she know what a powerful sorceress she is to become.

One trip to her sister’s house to let out the dog (I love it, his name is Terminator) and poof, next thing she knows she wakes up handcuffed to a Greek god. Ok, a Prince of Thrace to be exact. If you were at all into Buffy or Angel, Charmed and the like, Sherrilyn’s work is for you. It’s fast-paced, kick-ass action, humor, steamy, sultry, and down right tasty characters will make you a fan for life! I know it has me. Sherrilyn Kenyon is an auto-buy for any of her Hunters.
