Included in this fantastic compellation of works from Venus Press there are short stories, links, recipes, and ideas to make a moment truly magical. This offering from Venus Press was designed with the spirit of Valentine’s Day in mind. In their dedication of the book, the staff specifically says this book is their gift to you, the reader for the holiday. Not surprising to me, I am a few months behind. Still, this fits with my belief that romance and romantic encounters should not be relegated to holiday fun only, but should be savored at every given opportunity.

Short Stories - C.S. Chatterly’s opening War of Words had me in stitches. The organizers wasted no time getting right into the hot hot hot with Marianne LaCroix’s Close Encounters. Not for the faint of heart, Nix Winter’s Ionwe's Kiss was sensuous and lyrical.

The romantic poetry section started with Amanda McIntyre. Short, sweet and powerful. Sassy Rebel and Logan Blue rounded out this section.

The next portion of the book is romantic gifts. This included links and ideas of places to shop for those of us who may not live close enough to a “unique” store. Active links take you to stores that blow the mind and give intriguing visions of wild nights. As if that was not enough, there are recipes and foods for when you are in the mood.

If you are feeling adventurous and looking for ideas, this might be the book for you.
