Call Back Yesterday

Darcy Kincaid is one very determined young woman. She has made up her mind to go back to her beloved Egypt no matter what her grandmother has to say. Her grandmother wants her to stay in England and hide the fact that her father was an Egyptian. Then she wants Darcy to marry and settle down with a proper Englishman. Wanting no part of the plans her grandmother has made for her, Darcy leaves her grandmother’s money and mansion behind.

When Dr. Simon Garrett advertises for a secretary, he was not expecting a woman. In England in the year 1873 it just was not fitting for a woman to be a secretary. So, when Darcy showed up on Simon’s doorstep he was not at all pleased. He did not need a woman around; it would be too much of a distraction and disrupt the household. He was about to send her packing when she showed him her ability on the newest invention, the typewriter. Simon knew he needed Darcy and her typewriter to finish his book on the derivation of words. So, he invited Darcy to stay at Rosewood Hall.

Upon meeting Simon, Darcy feels as though she knows him very well. But, how is this possible? For she and Simon have never met before, or have they? While working with him these feelings intensify. Does Simon feel this way too? He does indeed, but cannot understand why he feels so drawn to Darcy. Could they have known each other in another lifetime? All they do know for sure is that they both feel an attraction to each other, an attraction they both are trying to fight. Simon and Darcy soon realize they must come together and fight an evil among them or they will be lost to each forever this time.

J.A. Ferguson has created a love story that will stand the test of time with Call Back Yesterday! I became immersed in this book the second I picked it up. You will become drawn to these amazing people like a magnet right from the start. You will take a magical journey with them to the past and present to see if love really does conquer all.

Call Back Yesterday will knock your socks off just as it did mine! This book is definitely is a keeper. You will want to go back and revisit Simon and Darcy again and again. You will go through a whirlwind of emotions as you read this book. But, you will always come back to love, for love is the key to everything and binds not only the people together, but the book as well. I am looking forward to reading more of Ms. Ferguson’s captivating love stories.
