Nicked by Eros

Eros, The God of Love, has been given a mission by Aphrodite. Steve and Lucy both feel they are unworthy of love and it’s up to Eros to show them they’re wrong.

Lucy is at her aunt’s Bed and Breakfast trying to piece her life back together. Having the worst taste in men, she’s given up on love altogether. Steve is at the Bed and Breakfast trying to heal and forgive himself. Two of his clients trusted him to keep them safe and when they end up dead, Steve feels he is to blame.

Instantly attracted to one another, both are bothered by this. Lucy doesn’t want to get hurt again because she’s attracted to another wrong man, yet with the vulnerability that surrounds Steve she can’t stay away from him. Steve can’t trust himself and feels it is best to keep Lucy at arms length. Oddly enough, it’s as if they keep getting thrown together by an unseen force. A stranger in town appears to be following them. When Steve learns that he is the same man that killed his two clients, he is compelled to act. Will Steve and Lucy finally be lucky in love or with this sinister force come between them?

Nicked by Eros is a highly entertaining story. Readers can’t help but feel for both Steve and Lucy. The author has written it in a way that melts your heart at what they’ve been through. It was gratifying when they finally let their guards down and opened up to one another. Karin Huxman adds a villain to this story that readers will want to see get what he deserves. It’s unnerving that he always seems to be right where you least expect him. Eros’ place in this story is to lead Steve and Lucy together. Love makes life better and they just need help remembering that. As Eros is sent in the form of Lucy’s aunt, the dialogue between Eros and Aphrodite is comical. I really enjoyed Nicked by Eros, as it is a lighthearted read and just a great story.
