Among my favorites in this collection:
The Rain is a poignant and lonely look at the emotions felt in awakening by yourself in the night rain. I love the sound of rain; listening to it is so relaxing. There is a solitude and smallness that I find in it, and the author really captured that in this poem.

Recipe takes a whimsical look at fun with food in the intimate arena of the bedroom. My favorite line out of the entire collection is in this poem. It reads “I could eat you up like a Girl Scout cookie.” Great stuff here!

One Minute is a wealth of lust and love wrapped up in seven short and descriptive lines. This is definitely a case where the sum of parts equals much more than the whole; it’s an excellent and thought-provoking word picture of a relationship.

Jade Blackmore captures the spirit and passion of the art of love in this wonderful group of poetry. I enjoyed Broken Rose very much, and you will too!
