Coming Home

Deidre, called Dee, is a healer. Utilizing her nursing degree, Dee practices medicine, giving a nod to the herbalist training her grandmother gave her. Her grandmother’s passing has drawn her back home to Bayou Lafourche to devote her life to the art of healing. Even now, she mourns for her mamere and loss of the connection between them. Nearly six years have passed since Dee left home and the man she loved, but time has no meaning when they meet up again. Jacob needs her help.

Dee loved and lost Jacob years ago, and never could understand why they parted. Her grandmother’s wisdom becomes crystal clear when the situation is explained, and Dee finds herself in the arms of the love of her life once again.

Inga Mahn’s Coming Home is a heart-warming, sweetly erotic and sensual tale about life and love in the sultry South. It is a new take on the “if you love something, set it free” story, and reads like a breath of fresh air. Ms. Mahn gives us amazing character development and captures the spirit of the Creole South, and all in less than ten pages. I gobbled this story up, and will be looking for more from Inga Mahn.
