I loved it when Eadred learned how to speak slang and the sense of humor he displayed. Kate Hill takes readers on a whirlwind ride through the ups and downs of learning how to function in modern times, and skillfully crafts her story around a wonderful hero and heroine. She gifts her characters with human fallibility and realism. Add aliens, archaeologists, and Eadred’s missing appendix to this tale, and the result is an adventurous, unique and heartwarming story.
