Sweet Justice

Alyssa White sees a photograph in the newspaper and is shocked to find out that her one-time lover and sweetheart Devin McGraw has escaped from prison. He’d claimed that he was innocent, but the cover-up mounted against him was too much even for Alyssa’s father to defend him from. Alyssa tried over and over to see Devin while he was incarcerated, but he flatly refused and rejected her. When he turns up in the most unexpected place and barrels his way back into her life, she must do what she can to right the wrongs meted out to him - with or without his approval.

Delphyne DeRouge scorches the pages with Sweet Justice; you’ll need a fan handy for this one, y’all. I want a shower exactly like the one Alyssa had, and I want it soon! Alyssa and Devin are caught up in their past together and when the past becomes the present, they fairly simmer with unrestrained passion and lust. Add some local mafia-type hoods to the mix and this story compellingly unfolds even as the plot twists and turns. How Ms. DeRouge packed so much into Sweet Justice, I’ll never know, but I’m so glad that she did.
