The Drag Queen of Faerie

Coffee-loving Will Taylor has a job he hates, a ratty apartment, less-than-stellar clothing, and he’s on the date from hell. This is just the latest in a string of encounters better forgotten. Left alone after an unfortunate incident mercifully ends his night out, he makes a wish upon a star, and that wish is overheard by Mabbey, Drag Queen of the Fairies. He makes a bet with Mab, the Queen of Faerie (the female non-cross-dressing one) to bring Will together with the man of his dreams.

Will is hot and bothered for former boy band front man Devon, the yummiest gay man in the Tower, but Devon is a prideful snob and wouldn’t even dream of having anything but first class. When Mabbey, in his full flaming drag regalia, bellies up to the bar, things get turned topsy-turvy and the fun really begins. What starts as a dream date between Will and Devon ends up with an empty futon, a messy kitchen and burned coffee (oh, horror of horrors!) turning to sludge in the pot. One other thing: Mabbey may have a teensy-weensy crush on Will.

The Drag Queen of Faerie is the funniest thing I’ve read in a long time. I laughed out loud as the fellas wound their way through the pitfalls of the gay dating scene, and took a trip to the Land of Faerie and back. This story was Cinderella meets Will & Grace, only even more humorously done, all wrapped up with lust and EROTIC sex scenes. Prepare to be amused and touched by Willa Okati’s The Drag Queen of Faerie!
