All Our Yesterdays: Switzerland

Janet Lane Walters’ All Our Yesterdays series relates the story of a modern day woman trying to come to terms with her recurring feelings from her past lives. Astrid and Duncan have only recently become lovers and although Astrid feels that she is again with her soul mate, she needs to be certain that events will not tear them apart in this lifetime before she can fully commit to him.

For some time, when Astrid picked up an item, such as jewelery, she had gained an insight into the life of a previous owner. When she spies a battered jeweled cross at a street fair, Astrid feels that she has to have it. Once again, she is taken to a past memory, a lifetime in which she was Esther, the daughter of a wealthy lord in love with a man considered to be beneath her. Berwin is aware that he can never be with Esther and knows that it would be wrong to lead her on. Yet, he has loved her since their shared childhood.

Astrid is starting to link her experiences and to understand where she has been and what her lessons were. I am enjoying this series and am keen to see where the author will take her characters next. I would recommend that readers start the series from the beginning, although each is enjoyable as a stand alone story.
