Cain Benjamin is obsessed with a painting. When Cain saw the painting in a local coffee shop, Coffee Breaks, he knew he had to have it. The painting called to him in a way he didn’t understand, but simply accepted. The lone figure of the woman in the portrait twisted his heart and made him yearn for her embrace. Cain wants Katie with a vengeance. The need he feels for the real, live woman is ten times scarier and more profound than any feelings he had for a mere portrait. He wants her to join him in the darkness, to revel in their love play. But Katie is hesitant. There’s no doubt she is attracted to Cain, but his secretiveness, his domination, his hiding of his body, are all factors that frighten her a bit. Nevertheless, she throws herself wholeheartedly into the relationship in the hopes that Cain will fall in love with her. But can a man who thrives in the dark every truly give his heart to a force that is full of light and joy?

N.J. Walters has done it again! Katie’s Art of Seduction is a phenomenal story that beautifully showcases two protagonists who, though opposites on the surface, are powerfully healed by each other’s life force. Whenever I pick up a N.J. Walters story, I always have high expectations, and yet, time and again, Ms. Walters surpasses those expectations to create a story that is erotic, unique, and truly touching. The first in the Awakening Desires series, Katie’s Art of Seduction proves to be a winner because of the dramatic and gothic feel of the story, the irresistible heroine, and the dark, broody, and oh-so vulnerable hero. This is one story you won’t forget easily because the characters will win you over from the first page and won’t let go until their story is done being told. I eagerly await the next in this series and proudly bestow Fallen Angel Reviews’ highest award, that of Recommended Read, on Katie’s Art of Seduction.
