Bad Boys

Shelley Flynn is about to marry her fiance Robert "Dickie" Gillet, a man who she admires and loves. Lately though, with the wedding only little more than a week away, Shelley is coming to regret the fact that she and Dickie have decided to wait to make love until after they are married. When Shelley's best friend tells her about the big blow out bachelor party Dickie will be attending, complete with a high class call-girl of sorts, Shelley is stunned and dismayed, and more than a little ready to get some revenge. Thor Ryersson, the owner of High Score, an erotic adult store, is more than willing to provide Shelley with a few erotic lovemaking lessons. He's very interested in the blond beauty and feels she may just be "The One." However, when he realizes she was telling the truth about being engaged, he doesn't know what to think. What kind of woman cheats on her fiance, the man she is supposed to love?

Thor and Shelley try to stay away from each other, but when Dickie lies about the stripper, Shelley is back to square one, and Thor seems so willing to make love to her, to encourage her sensual side, unlike Dickie who ignores all her advances. As the wedding draws closer, Thor and Shelley become more involved, more emotionally connected. Thor only has one week to convince Shelley that he's the one for her. Can he do it? Can Shelley get up the courage to take a chance on love?

Bad Boys is an amusing and highly erotic story with a delightful leading couple. Though it doesn't seem like Shelley is being the most faithful of fiances, she is very blunt about not only her sexual needs, but in the fact that she is disappointing Dickie, that she isn't being true to him. She owns up to her mistakes while at the same time, learning from them. Her growth as a character is subtle but definitely momentous and the reader will come away from this story with the feeling that Shelley is a very admirable woman. Thor makes a terrific leading man. He's sexy, adventurous, ambitious, and seriously smitten with Shelley. His heart is a fragile thing though, and while he is afraid that his clandestine relationship with Shelley might not turn out well, he can't let her go.

Ms. Apple does a fantastic job with turning the "cheating" fiance plot line into something much more thought provoking and memorable than many stories. Bad Boys was a pleasure to read and this reviewer guarantees that Ms. Apple will win many new fans with this story.
