Janna MacNeil is a publicist given the difficult job of cleaning up the image of the Stanley Cup Champion New York Blades. Now that Kidco owns the team, they want an image that is more ‘family friendly.’

Ty Gallagher is the captain whose only goal is to win the Cup again…at any cost. He doesn’t care what some suits have to say, he wants to win his way. When Janna tries to appeal to Ty for help with the rest of the team, she is greeted with a wall of ice. He will do what he wants regardless of the company and it’s up to Janna to convince him otherwise by whatever means necessary.

This was a great book that delved into the secret world, well, secret to me, of hockey. I loved the byplay between Janna and her boss as well as the weasel in her office. We’ve all known someone like that and it was great to see him get slapped down by Janna. You really came to become a part of the story, Ms. Martin did such a great job with creating these characters that I was sorry to see them go. Thankfully, she brought a lot of them back in Fair Play.
