The Proposition

The Proposition is the first in the Risking it All trilogy.

This trilogy tells the story of three sisters who lost their father six years ago. On Natalie’s 26th birthday the three girls receive letters from their father that were written just before his death. When Natalie opens her letter, she finds her father’s advice to risk anything it takes to get what she wants and to trust in her talents.

Detective Natalie Gibbs has the talent to assume almost any persona by immersing herself in the new personality. Then she decides to grab what she wants in Chance Mitchell. Due to a one-night stand that ended badly, Natalie becomes Rachel, a free spirit. When Chance sees ‘Rachel’ at a party, he overhears her sisters discussing Natalie’s new persona and decides to see if she’ll continue with the masquerade no matter what. When that plan backfires, he decides to ask her for help with a case he’s working on and to assume yet another persona.

An amazing story unfolds with Natalie being able to explore a number of facets of her personality and Chance enjoys each one as they unfold.

This was a fabulous beginning to a trilogy that has all of the earmarks of being a keeper and lender! I have done nothing but talk about this series to my friends since I read The Proposition. The idea that Natalie could be free of her inhibitions by donning a new name is so intriguing! The chemistry between Chance and Natalie is extremely steamy and really fun to watch unfold. Ms. Summers pens a great story with likeable characters. I can’t wait until the rest of the series is out.
