Sons of Zeus 1: Warrior Lover

Sons of Zeus 1: Warrior Lover, brings together a god and a member of the French Resistance. The night before the fateful landings of D-Day, Ares is dropped into the French countryside to assist in an attack on the Germans. Belle has been working with the Resistance since she saw the soldiers kill her mother and father at seventeen and has worked hard for four yeas. She has become a valued member of the Resistance and is the leader of her group. When Ares sees Belle for the first time he is hit by a bolt of lust. He cannot believe how alluring she is to him. When Aphrodite comes visiting, he realizes that he may be able to love after all.

Sons of Zeus 1: Warrior Lover was a wonderful melding of Ancient Greek mythology and the more modern setting of World-War II France. I love it when I find gods and goddesses appearing in modern settings. I have always had a fascination with them and really enjoy seeing them interact with ‘mortals’. There is nothing better than watching a powerful being be cut down by a lesser being in the name of love. This is what happened in this book. Very well done Ms. LaCroix, I look forward to the rest of this series!
