Till We Meet Again

Chief Detective Quinn Logan is anxious to find the serial killer stalking his small town of Cody Springs, North Carolina. Unfortunately, there is little to go on except the fact that the killer’s victims have all been blondes in their twenties. After one of his young detectives is stabbed, Quinn ends up in the small clinic where Dr. Gabi Reddick works.

Gabi is too busy to miss having a man around - until she meets Quinn. He makes her body spring to life with just a look. The two try to ignore their immediate attraction until Quinn sees Gabi again, this time at the scene of the latest murder. The victim was a Gabi’s patient and Gabi can’t help but feel somewhat responsible for her.

Shocked to see the sexy doctor at a crime scene, Quinn worries that she’s made herself a target. When she is followed home and starts receiving threatening calls from the killer, he is sure of it. Since Gabi won’t leave the already shorthanded clinic, Quinn decides to personally protect her at all costs. That means spending a great deal of time alone together. It doesn’t take long for the two to give in to their desires. But with a killer stalking Gabi, more than hearts are on the line – Gabi’s life is too.

Till We Meet Again is a thriller in every sense of the word. Not just full of suspense - there is also plenty of steamy sex for a different kind of thrill! Everything about this story is well done. Ms. Carrington’s compelling writing kept me riveted from the first word to the last. Quinn and Gabi are intense characters with realistic emotions. Both of them have skeletons in the closet. So, though their amazing lovemaking happens early, their emotional relationship builds a bit more cautiously. The surrounding characters are very vividly drawn and add a good deal to the storyline. The reader gets a sense of life in a close-knit community suddenly thrust into the horror of recurring murders.

I enjoyed Till We Meet Again so much that I’m awarding it Recommended Review status on top of its 5 Angel rating. I hope Ms. Carrington writes more like this one!
