Choices

Carla Morgan is visiting Heath Castle. As she falls asleep in the bedroom, she is transported back into the past. Sinclair Heath, Duke of Heath has been grieving since the passing of his wife, Sara. A soothsayer tells him that the woman he could love will come to him. So he is not surprised when he finds Carla and thus begins an adventure of a lifetime.

Carla is the epitome of 21st century woman. She is strong, independent and doesn’t need a man to support her. Finding herself transported into the past, she has to deal with the problems of living in the 19th century. Carla does her best to adjust and more importantly she has to deal with Sinclair. Sinclair is very much “lord of all he surveys”. Born into nobility, he is a product of his times. He is a proud, stubborn and very sexy man. Sinclair is forced to accommodate and reform his opinions when he realizes he wants Carla. These two are very likable characters and they sexual tension between them exists from the very first meeting. The erotic action did seem mild, but in keeping with the storyline.

Choices is aptly titled as Carla must make the decision of whether to stay in the past or go back to the future. Correspondingly, Sinclair has the same decision whether to let her go or convince her to stay with him. Choices is a tender love story featuring two people from diverse worlds who find themselves caught in the web of love. The author has written a very enjoyable and quick read that is sure to delight historical time travel enthusiasts
