The Pleasure Seekers 2:<title>The Pleasure Seekers 2: Raede

Raede of Laedre was cursed years ago by a Blood Taker. He not only lost his life and friends, but his soul on that day. He is known as the “Dark One” to villagers and the time has come for them to offer him a human sacrifice in exchange for his favors. Roja is given to him as the sacrifice. Her mother selected her instead of her sister, Azure, as the sacrificial lamb. Raede tells the villager she must be given favored status and he will claim her when she turns eighteen. Has Raede met his match in a young and very human girl?

Roja is a strong and stubborn girl. Young in age but wise beyond her years, she faces Raede with all the defiance she can muster , but finds herself attracted to him. Raede is a likable character. He wants Roja but gives her the right to chose. The sexual tension is intense between them. Within this story, Zemna, Maria and Azure’s sad tale is told. Hopefully Ms. Bardsley will be writing Zemna’s story next.

Due to the length of the story, character development is not as complete or as in-depth as we would like, but the author is able to give us enough information to form a picture of them. The Pleasure Seekers 2: Raede is a novella comprising of only 39 pages, but the author packs it full with action as Ms. Bardsley continues with the second book in her very entertaining series.
