Unfinished Business

Christy Madaris fell in love with Alex Maxwell when she was a teenager but he broke her heart. He had promised to marry her when she was younger. Alex felt that Christy should have known he was not serious when he made that offer but the grown up Christy is all woman and Alex can feel the heat between them. Christy is pursuing her career as a reporter and she is investigating a story about women disappearing. Little does Christy know that this story will put her life in danger.

Christy is the “baby” of the family, with three overbearing and overprotective brothers. Her brothers had quite the “social” life before their marriages and they definitely do not want her to get involved with a player. Christy wants her independence and she moves to another city to get it. Beautiful and intelligent, Christy makes good use of her attributes as she pursues her career. However, deep in her heart she still harbors feelings for Alex. Her pride as well as her feelings was shattered by him and she doesn’t want to give him another chance to hurt her again. Alex regrets his actions of dismissing Christy when she was younger. The pain he inflicted on her makes it very tough to woo her now. Alex is a handsome and sexy male with the alpha persona that the Maxwell and Madaris men have plenty of. He is the owner of a successful private investigation firm. It takes awhile for him to admit to his feelings but once he does – the man does everything he can to win his woman. Christy and Alex slowly rebuild their relationship but her investigation brings troubles to their door.

Unfinished Business continues the saga of the Madaris and Maxwell families. It was like seeing old friends again as characters from the previous books appear throughout this book. With fully developed characters and a riveting storyline, Ms. Jackson has penned another winner! Fans of the Madaris and Maxwell saga will not want to miss this book – it is a must have!
