Lords of the Var:<br>The Savage King

Agent Ulyssa Paine is on the planet Qurilixen to prevent the leader of the Medical Mafia from escaping. When her mission comes to an unexpected end, she finds herself trapped on the planet until her ride arrives. Then she finds herself a captive of the Var leader, King Attor as a member of his harem. After Attor dies in battle, Ulyssa finds herself the property of the new King, Kirill.

Kirill is a Var prince, now King, who is duty bound to his upbringing and his people. He has been taught all his life never to fall in love and never take a life mate. When he meets Ulyssa, he is inexplicably and undeniably drawn to her. The more he is around her, the more he knows he cannot live without her. Will Kirill be able to overcome his duty and the dictates of the former Var king, or will he give in to his heart?

Imagine my absolute joy when my favorite series was continued in Lords of the Var: The Savage King. The Var are a very sexual and passionate race that equates their sexual prowess with their physical prowess and Kirill proved he was quite the physical specimen. The sexual chemistry he and Ulyssa had was immediately apparent. Their love scenes were frequent, erotic, scorching and nearly set my screen ablaze.

Beyond all the sexual chemistry, The Savage King had a great story that kept me reading nonstop. As an added bonus, the Draig princes and princesses made an appearance to help prevent an event that could have destroyed Qurilixen.

I can’t say how much I enjoyed returning to Michelle Pillow’s Dragon Lords universe, this time starring the Var. To say I am anxiously awaiting the next story in the series is a HUGE understatement. Ms. Pillow, I beseech thee, don’t make me wait too long before my next Var fix.
