Ghost in My Heart

Dagon has come to Earth to collect women to take back to his planet. A virus has made it impossible for the women on his planet to have female children. They need Earth women to produce female children to ensure the continuation of his people. Vana is unlike any woman Dagon has ever met. She is strong willed and independent, not wanting any man to control her life. Vana is very resistant to the idea of marrying him and being the queen of his people.

Vana is quite happy spending most of her time in her lab. None of the men she has met have touched her heart. When her car breaks down, Dagon comes to her aid. Vana is shocked by her attraction to him and can sense his attraction to her. Waking on a strange planet with no way of returning to Earth,Vana finds that she must marry and produce female children. Unhappy that her choices are being taken away, Vana is reluctant to have anything to do with Dagon. The attraction between the two is still there and despite her upset at losing control of her life, Vana finds herself in love with Dagon. As Dagon opens his heart to her, Vana agrees to marry him and be his queen. This does not make everyone happy. Someone will risk anything to prevent a happy union between the two, even murder.

Autumn Dawn’s Ghost in my Heart is an amazing book. The attraction/connection between Vana and Dagon is very intense and leads to a very deep love. The mystery that the two strive to solve will affect not only their happiness, but that of their dear friends. As the men struggle to come to terms with the independent women they have brought to their planet, the women fight to make lives for themselves in their new home. The author has created a world that has been rocked by illness but the people have not lost hope. This moving story will be hard to put down or forget.
