Samantha Logan is on the run from her lying, cheating ex-fiancé. Escaping to her father’s cabin, Samantha is shocked to find Private Investigator Jake Ramsey there. Jake was the star of her teenage fantasies and his rejection had hurt her deeply. Jake has always been able to get under her skin and being forced to share the cabin with him may be more than her heart can take. As the two battle their feelings, they must solve a mystery and keep Samantha’s ex-fiancé from ending their newfound romance.

Jake Ramsey never expected to run into Samantha at her family’s cabin. As far as he knows she was getting married. Jake has never forgotten Samantha or the emotions and desire she brought out in him. But she was a teenager and not ready for a relationship with him. Discovering her there while he is there to investigate may cause more problems than either needs right now. As the case he is working becomes sticky, Samantha’s ex- fiancé decides he does not want to let Samantha go and will go to any lengths to get her back.

Julie Skerven’s Her Heart’s Desire is a tremendous book. The author mixes romance, intense sexual chemistry and mystery to create a book that you will hate to see end. Samantha and Jake shoot sparks off of one another as they work to solve the mystery. Do not miss this book.
