Love and Rockets

Anna Leslie looks more like a high priced call girl than she does a rocket scientist. Anna has used her job as a way to hide from the world. Now she is a twenty-eight-year-old virgin who wants to become an ex-virgin. Jay Whitman is like no man Anna has ever met. He is not turned off by her intelligence, in fact he seems to thrive on it. Anna knows how deep and true her feelings are and fears she will lose Jay when the newness of their relationship wears off.

Jay Whitman is blown away by Anna’s beauty the minute he sees her. He also thinks she is a call girl, which does not bode well when they actually meet. Finding out that he is Anna’s first lover shocks Jay, but also makes him determined that he will be her only lover. As he pursues Anna, Jay can feel her hesitation. In order to keep the woman he has grown to love, Jay will do whatever it takes to make Anna see just how special she really is.

Love and Rockets is an exceptional beginning to Charlene Teglia’s new series, When Sparks Fly. The deep emotional element of the story will have you hating to put this book down. The issues of control and trust are some of the hurdles that Jay and Anna have to overcome. Ms. Teglia is able to delve into many emotions and have both characters come out stronger on the other side. I look forward to the next installment of this series.
