The Lion’s Den

Returning to her small southern hometown for Thanksgiving was not Suzy’s idea of a good time. But she could not put her mother off any longer, since her mother was now resorting to blackmail to get her to come home. Now her mother sends her to the hardware store for a hammer. What’s up with that? Seeing a shirtless Alex McCoy made her forget all about her mother and the hammer. A shirtless Alex made her remember the summer he took her virginity and her heart. It also made her want to jump his bones. Inviting Alex to dinner may be a mistake, but Suzy wants to see more of him. Alex’s painful memories of Thanksgiving make him reluctant to accept the invitation. Lust erupts between the two and they give into their passion. This is worth all the aggravation of coming home.

The Lion’s Den is a short story about Thanksgiving that will have you wanting to spend your holiday with someone special. Ms. Lanel has created two very different people with a sexual chemistry that is unstoppable. The heat between Suzy and Alex will have you reaching for some cold water to cool you down. The author expertly meshes the past and the present to give a basis for the attraction between the two lovers.
