Turned Innocence

Alexerthe Roistkauff, a vampire, was drawn to Sheridan’s beauty. She was his assignment and he could not deny his emotional connection to her. Xerthe was there to turn her. As the two become lovers, Xerthe is loath to release her. Sheridan is reluctant to accept that Xerthe is a vampire and that she is in danger. The Council’s desire for Sheridan intrigues Xerthe and he begins to investigate. Sheridan is his mate and he will not allow anyone to come between them. As the danger comes closer, Xerthe must quickly work to save Sheridan.

Sheridan is unable to resist Xerthe. Something about him draws her to him – even when she intends to reject his advances. Giving into her desire for Xerthe, Sheridan wants more of him - his time, his passion, his love. Unwilling to believe that Xerthe is a vampire, Sheridan is prepared to do whatever it takes to be with him. Even to allow him to turn her. As forgotten memories return to Sheridan, she realizes how serious the danger surrounding her is.

Mara Lee’s Turned Innocence is a very moving tale. The author has created very realistic characters that will not soon be forgotten. The intense bond between Sheridan and Xerthe balances the blazing sexual chemistry between the two. The mystery surrounding Sheridan’s background will keep the reader intrigued. I really enjoyed that even though Sheridan doubted the existence of vampires she could not deny her feelings for Xerthe.
