A Small Lesson

Danielle is torn between two sides of herself. She is by turns a business woman with a job to do and a newspaper to run, as well as Jack’s boss, but when she's not working she is Jack’s submissive. She decides to end her D/s relationship with Jack, hoping that she can figure out what she really wants. When a party comes up at the spa they both belong to, Danielle decides to ride there with Jack. As they turn into the grounds for the spa, Danielle forces Jack’s patience to the limit. Can Danielle and Jack find a way to have it all?

A Small Lesson by Terri Pray is a great book that could have been outstanding. Terri’s previous book Winter’s Sweet Kiss is mentioned all through the story, without enough background to let you know what happened and allow you to understand why it is important. Danielle and Jack are well written. The BDSM scenes are amazingly well written. If you have read the other book that this one mentions, you are in for a real treat. If you are like I am and had not read the previous book, you may get lost or confused from all the references to Winter’s Sweet Kiss. It is still a wonderful look at a D/s relationship and some of the challenges to combine “real life” and BDSM.
