The Mistress and the Mouse: Honeymoon Blues by J.J. Giles is the sequel to The Mistress and the Mouse. At first I had trouble following what was happening, as I had not read the first book. But I was quickly drawn into the lives of these remarkable characters. Ms. Giles has portrayed a loving family, not a conventional one, but one full of love and caring nonetheless. The trials this family has endured and the way they deal with these things together is amazingly written. This is not a story for the faint of heart however; it has many themes intertwined inside including incest, rape, and extreme BDSM. It is an extremely enjoyable novel and I would enjoy seeing another one written about more of this remarkable family.
