Justin Thibodaux is patrolling the swamp late one night, searching for the gold that is rumored to be in his family. Jean-Marie wants nothing to do with Justin Thibodaux; she had enough to do with him years ago. She gave him her heart and her body, and he repaid her by falling into bed with another woman. So she repaid the favor by shooting him, unfortunately she caught him in the side, instead of where she was aiming. She left town, and headed for a better place, but she never found it. Instead she got herself involved with the wrong people, and has had to come back to the bayou to hide out for a bit. In spite of wanting nothing to do with Justin, she knows that he is the only one that can keep her safe, and he is also the only man who can affect her body and her heart. It looks like she is going to have to stay near Justin, whether she wants to or not, her life might just depend on it.

Bayou Gold is rich with culture and flavor, and it delves into the spiritualism practiced in the Louisiana bayou. Combining the ancient practices of voodoo, the eerie alligator, and an action packed adventure, this is a shape shifter novella that will keep the reader enthralled from the beginning. Justin and Jean-Marie are a couple that are made for each other, but can’t seem to get their acts together, in spite of their fiery attraction for each other. MS.
