Dark as Wine

A mortal woman, pure of heart, may summon the Lord of the Night, but what happens if he answers?

Love holds Adriana Bordeaux prisoner within a tower. Her father cannot bear to lose another daughter, and yet by imprisoning her, her soul is slowly dying. Adriana knows that love for her father is not enough to sustain her, in desperation she calls to the Lord of the Night to come to her and grant her heart’s desire.

Morpheus Draguna, Lord of the Night, is angry and helpless to resist the maiden’s call. He intends to punish the presumptuous human, but her spirit and beauty weakens his resolve. As he battles his own desire, Adriana learns the true nature surrounding the curse of the Lord of the Night. Can love make a difference, or will they be destined to live their lives alone?

Dark as Wine is a brilliant blend of fantasy and eroticism. Morgana de Winter is a new author for this reviewer, and it is obvious I have been missing out. Ms. de Winter weaves rich storytelling with evocative love scenes that make this work stand out. The Dark as Wine plot is enriched by emotions and events that allow readers to focus on the untold love that grows between Morpheus and Adriana. The erotic imagery in their scenes is searing and the growth of their relationship touching. These are two characters readers will come to love. A truly captivating read.

Dark as Wine is the third in the Bordeaux sister trilogy. This exceptional tale can be read as a stand alone, but given the author’s talent the first two definitely bear looking into as well.
