Perfectly Incompatible

Libby is a top notch FBI agent, so why is she so upset with her next operation? It sounded like an easy task to complete. Pretend to be a married couple seeking counseling in order to infiltrate a spa suspected of drug smuggling; that task seems easy enough to do. That is until she realizes that she has been partnered with Michael. Why is she partnered with him of all people? Libby and Michael cannot stand each other. Little does Libby know that the possible drug smuggling operation will be the least of her problems. This one assignment will prove to be more than meets the eye. She has no idea that it less than two weeks, her life will forever be changed. If Libby had known that at the beginning, would she have taken the job? Will Libby come to know Michael for more than an irritating FBI agent? When this undercover operation is over will Libby be happy with the outcome?

Michael sits quietly listening to his next assignment in shock, he has been partnered with the one person in the force that he does not want to work with. He decided long ago that he would avoid her at all costs. He couldn’t work with her; he was too attracted to her. She is everything in a woman that he does not want nor need. He soon learns there is no choice but to work with her. He devises a plan that maybe if he has her just once, he will not want her so badly. He will cure his attraction for her with this undercover operation. She will not know what has hit her when he is done. Michael has no idea that this one small plan will not have the ending he imagined. Will Michael regret setting this plan into motion? Is Libby really who he thinks she is?

Kathryn Anne Dubois has written a story with immediate tension between two people that slowly starts to ease only to find it string even tighter. Perfectly Incompatible offers readers a mix of humor, physical chemistry, and endearing compassion. Michael provides a strong male character that has a never ending, mischievous nature with a splash of sensitivity in all the right places. Libby is a headstrong woman with a mind of her own: that unfortunately for her does not work all that well around Michael. With one crazy situation after another, Michael and Libby come to realize that maybe they were wrong about one another. Can Michael and Libby figure out what perfectly compatible really means? Will they find everything that they need at the spa? Can two independent FBI agents learn to trust and accept someone else?

Between the characters' chemistry and humor of this story, my cheeks were either blushing from the passion or aching from all the smiling. The romance that blossoms between Michael and Libby is written beautifully by Kathryn Anne Dubois. Perfectly Incompatible is a book that needs to be read cover to cover. As the story and assignment come to an end, readers will be left with a tantalizing romance that touches their soul. This story definitely earned its 5 Angels!
